What this site collects, why, and what it deliberately does not.

The short version
Reading this directory requires no account and sets no advertising cookies. Analytics are aggregate. An account exists only if you create one, and deleting it removes what it held.

Analytics
DeployWhere uses a third-party analytics service to count traffic. It runs in two places: a script in the page, and a server-side record of the request path and the user agent string. The second one exists because a large share of the traffic to a directory like this comes from crawlers and AI systems that never run a script, and counting only browsers would give a false picture of who is reading it.
What is recorded is the page requested and the user agent. This is used in aggregate to understand which pages are read and by what. It is not used to build a profile of an individual, and it is not sold or shared for advertising.
Accounts
Sign-in is handled by Clerk, which stores your email address, your name if you supply one, and any connected sign-in provider. This site stores its own small record alongside it: an internal identifier, your email address, your name, and whether you have administrator access.
That record is what your reviews, saved platforms and submissions attach to. Deleting your account from your settings removes it, and removes your reviews and saved platforms with it. Platforms you submitted that were already published stay in the directory, because a published listing is part of the public record about a company rather than personal data about you.
What is published
A review is published only after a person approves it, and only the rating, the headline and the text are shown. Saved platforms and submissions are private to your account.
Images and third-party requests
Provider logos and website images are fetched by this site's servers and served from this domain. Your browser does not contact the provider to load them, so reading a listing does not tell that provider that you were reading about them.
Cookies
The only cookies set are the ones Clerk needs to keep you signed in, and they only exist once you sign in. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you have the right to access, correct, export and erase your personal data, and to object to processing. Write to info@deploywhere.dev and it will be handled. Most of it you can do yourself from your account settings.
Changes
The date at the top of this page shows when this policy last changed. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
